I created this piece when my husband was diagnosed with multiple myeloma and was given only a couple of years to live. Once again, God's showed mercy on my husband and healed him.

Etta Harris was born in Seoul, South Korea to a Korean mother and an African American father. As a child of a military family, Etta learned how to embrace and celebrate various cultures due to her numerous travel opportunities and her diverse background. She has lived in different parts of the world, which has consequently affected her artistic view on life, race, and culture. Etta’s inspiration is primarily due to her relationship, eternal love, and inspiring freedom that comes from Jesus Christ. Her interpretations of spirituality, love, nature, pain, joy, and love of all people are expressed mainly using acrylic and oil pastels captured in abstract styles.
